Samsung smartwatch Galaxy Gear comes next week, confirming by Lee Young-hee

Smartphones are popular nowadays but it seems that people cannot just satisfy own a smartphone, they want more. So Apple and Samsung are developing a smartwatch. Samsung’s smartwatch is Galaxy Gear; its launch date is revealed yesterday, on 4 September.

Lee Young-hee, executive vice president of Samsung mobile, revealed in an interview with The Korea Times that the launch would take place at the IFA consumer electronics fair in Berlin.

“The Gear won’t have a flexible display. The new device will enhance and enrich the current smart mobile experience in many ways. It will lead a new trend in smart mobile communications. We are confident that the Gear will add meaningful momentum to the mobile industry.” She added.

The plans also suggested the watch would be able to make and receive phone calls, send emails and texts, store information and access the internet.

The day is coming, what could we do before that day? Even it is launched, smartwatch cannot replace smartphone.

The battle between smartphone and dumbphone never stop. Smartphone develops fast since its birth and in Q2, it overtook dumbphone sales finally.

According to Gartner’s report, “smartphone sales exceeded feature phone sales for the first time. Android has been strangling the life out of dumbphones for years, but it looks like the market tipping point is being reached.”

New iPad coming after new iPhone, thinner and lighter

Apple will release the fifth-generationiPad after new iPhone which will use the same touch-panel technology as the iPad mini to allow it to become thinner and lighter, according to “people with knowledge of the matter,” who have been speaking to The Wall Street Journal.
