Apple’s iPad has 94% of tablet market in education, according to Tim Cook

Apple CEO Tim Cook said today on the company’s quarterly earnings call Apple had its best quarter in education. That means Apple iPad tablet market share reached 94% in education.
“We had over a billion dollars in revenues for the first time ever,” Cook said. “Macs were up 8 percent — while the PC market was down 12 percent — and iPad sales were up 22 percent.”
We have known in Q4, Apple revenue up to 37.5 billion but profit down. So iPad sales in education are really a large scale for Apple, at least in this quarter.
In the last quarter, Apple sold 14 million iPads. “We feel like we’re doing great,” Cook said.

Why iPad is so popular around students? I guess maybe it is because the quality of iPad is great and the price is very high. So they choose iPad to do what they want. Maybe iPad can satisfy their needs, such as listening to the music, watching videos, surfing the Internet. As to me, I will prefer apple blu ray software to watch my favorite movies and videos. What about you?
